I used my regular technique - you already know what that is. However, I didn't have any thin sharpies so all my lines are very fat and thick. I tried to emphasize repetition and as the piece evolved, I continued to work on adding contrasting patterns to make the piece really pop.
I have drawn inspiration from Reeps One's giant murals. They are super complex and incorporate a lot of thick lines and contrasting patterns. In the future, I am planning on doing a mural myself (possibly include it in the background of my art show). I also draw inspiration from myself and my mind.
My piece went through a large evolution. Originally, the focus was on the bottle shape in the center (and Ms. O'Ryan told me to fix it so I did). I attempted to shift the focus away from the center and added more contrast around the edges. I also kept the bottom corner fairly blank so it juxtaposes the rest of the pieces.
If I could do something over, I would have continued with my castle idea. Now I am going to draw an abstract castle in another piece so I just have to wait and see how this one evolves.
This piece links with my other pieces because it is abstract (do I have to keep writing this?).
